I can't recall cueing in my dreams....but I did catch my mother on several occasions cueing to our dogs (this was when I was younger). It was a constant source of amusement to me. :)

Barb,

I have never cued in my dreams, but often find myself cueing to hearing people. This happens most often when I want to add emphasis or make a point. Just ask my daughter Maddie and the girls on my basketball team. I often cue to (at?) the girls, especially during a game --"Get the ball!" or "Bounce pass!" will come out with voice and cues.

Hah! it wasn't actually that nightmarish. Just odd, because I was definitely cueing more fluently in German than I'd ever actually done when speaking, let alone cueing...

Never had the "surprise test" dream. Thankfully. ;)

Uh Ester, I think that one qualifies as a nightmare.

Do you also dream about showing up for class to find out your having a test and you didn't study?

LOL

Yes!

Only once or twice in my life though despite being a native cuer, oddly enough. One cueing dream was in German.
Basically I was in German class giving a presentation on the Railroads of the Habsburg empire or something, and cueing in German. It was weird, because never once have I had to learn about Austro-Hungarian railroads, and never once had I cued German for more than a few words before. LOL

I've been cueing with my son who is deaf for nearly 25 years; also, I am a professional transliterator for close to 20 years, but i can't say that i cue in my dreams. I often hear newly trained transliterators say that they cue in their dreams. I always wondered why i don't. It just doesn't happen for me, or may I completely block it out, not sure.

However, often I do find my self cueing with hearing people thinking that i will be better understood like you are describing; embarrassing:)
